The Gazprom Neft Cup is the biggest international ice hockey tournament for kids aged 11 or younger in Europe. For a children's competition the tournament has an unprecedented level of organization. The games take place at highest-standard ice arenas and are managed by professional referees. For young players, this is a grand celebration of sports, a great opportunity to see big hockey from the inside, and excellent motivation on the way to their dream of becoming a hockey superstar.
Our task was to design a mascot whose personality supposed to be similar to the competition participants themselves, 11-year-old boys. Just as cheerful, lively, energetic, and purposeful. The mischievous polar bear cub in a tricolor uniform became the face and the soul of the tournament and fell in love with both the young hockey players and the fans. So, now we hope you also enjoy meeting our little champion and watching some highlights from his life!
